Steps to reproduce:

I have Firefox syncing my passwords.

Actual results:

One of my Firefox instanses suddenly doesn't show any of my passwords (except a few added after this started happeding), even though the passwords are show on all other insances and are synced between them.

Expected results:

It should show all passwords.

Bugbug thinks this bug should belong to this component, but please revert this change in case of error.

Hi Linus, thanks for the report! This sounds like logins.json getting corrupted and replaced out from underneath Sync, and Sync not realizing that it needs to download everything from the server again. Could you please try the following steps, and let us know if your passwords come back after that?

  1. Open about:config.
  2. Search for services.sync.passwords.lastSync.
  3. Click the "Delete" button on the right.
  4. Trigger a sync.
