RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 133787

People

(Reporter: snugs.steed0e, Unassigned)

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; rv:75.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/75.0

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Visit a page and open print preview.
  2. Close the print preview.

Actual results:

The print preview window occupies the entire window, replacing it entirely until the print preview window is closed. This is overly obtrusive in my opinion.

In addition, if the sidebar is opened prior to opening the print preview window, the side bar view will be "reset". So if you had scrolled to a certain point in the Bookmarks sidebar, opened the print preview window and closed it after, the scrolling position will be reset to the top. Not only is this frustrating to no end, this causes the experience to feel extremely unpolished.

Expected results:

The print preview window should appear as a new window, or a modal (like Chrome does), which is not overly obtrusive -- which would, hopefully, avoid the sidebar view from being reset.
