Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:75.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/75.0
Steps to reproduce:
Click in empty URL bar and start typing
Actual results:
A large dropdown opens, showing mostly mildly related URLs. I have to press Cursor-Down at least twice to reach the actual item I want.
Expected results:
The most relevant URL suggestion should appear directly in the URL bar, so that I can accept it by simply pressing Return. For more details, please have a look at the suggestion mechanism of version 74.
It just occurred to me that this problem would be easily solved if you just removed "Search with Google" from the top position of the dropdown.

Bugbug thinks this bug should belong to this component, but please revert this change in case of error.

I'm duping to bug 1597791 that seems the closest.
Note that the "Search with Google" entry is not a real result, it's preselected and only tells you what happens when you confirm with Enter what you typed. What you really want here is autofill of a url, even if Search with Google would go away, you'd still end up searching without autofill.
