If I hold the backspace key pressed, the caret will move ahead of the last
character on the URL bar. This is very annoying as you can't tell when to stop
backspacing and you either delete too much (the worst problem), or you delete
less than you wanted (not as big a deal).
Reproducible: Always

Maybe I didn't explain it well...what I mean is that if you are backspacing and
you have a 40 character address, the caret will be at the 10th character when
only the last 20 characters have been deleted. Meaning the caret moves way to
quickly, you can still see many characters that were supposed to have been deleted.
As you can see on the attached screenshot (taken while backspacing), the
letters "mozill" should have already been deleted as the caret is currently
before the "." in the URL shown.

Although 158782 is about typing forward, not backspacing, they are essentially
the same. I will add a notation to that bug as well.
