at the bottom of this page and image should display: http://www.corvettewave.com/95vette.htm the image url is below: http://www.corvettewave.com/images/vette1.JPG if you edit "privacy and Security" "Images" property, occasionally the image will display. by-the-way, i thought it may be the upper case "JPG" extention, but i copied the image to: http://www.corvettewave.com/images/vette1.jpg and still get the same result. this page works normally in all other browsers.
When the image doesn't show, do you see an image place holder (broken image). If so then the image download simply timed out.
No place holders on page just blank space. the image shows normally in any other browser.
This jpg refuses to display in mozilla.
I have a similar problem with an image on my own site. http://www.xs4all.nl/~jgurp/homepage/photos/dodecanese/kos_panorama_xxl.jpg This is a high res jpg which refuses to load in mozilla 1.1 final. The picture is loaded but not displayed. If I go to the page info dialog, I see the correct url, file size and image dimensions. Mozilla even displays a horizontal scrollbar (the jpg is 4000 pixels width). I have emptied the cache (disk&memory) but that didn't help. IE has no problems displaying the jpg. I've been scratching my head on this issue. I added two pictures created using the same program, placed in the same directory, of a similar size and one displays and the other one doesn't. I even dragged a local copy of the file to the mozilla window and it still doesn't display. I've created an attachment for this jpg.
I have a similar problem with an entire website that fails to display images in mozilla. I initially thought their webserver was setting the mime type incorrectly, but the URL displays okay in IE(6), and mozilla does THINK it display the image - you can right click on the area where it should be displayed, and you get the correct context menu options for an image. http://www.longdays.com/thailand/thumbs/khoratbusticketfronts.jpg The entire site http://www.longdays.com/thailand/ displays no images in mozilla INTERESTINGLY, while IE is able to display the IMAGES, it can not display the HTML code (points at MIME types again).. it prompts me to save the page, rather than displaying it. Also, if I save the image, either with IE or with mozilla, to my hard drive, and then point mozilla at that, it CAN display it, which indicates there's nothing wrong with the image data itself. This may not be the same bug, since the sample attachment to this bug does NOT display if saved to the local hard drive, but.. this may be related.
website down, so i tested with attachement really, image doesnt show in ns4 and moz trunk, but works in ie 5.5 confirming and over to imagelib for now

Ever confirmed: true
This is a dup, we won't display it because it is "too big". The message a debug builds gives me is "Image too wide for this implementation" *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 9922 ***
