User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:76.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/76.0

Steps to reproduce:

Scroll through a page and try and click something. The video I uploaded shows this in action. check the bottom left corner that shows each link's location.

Actual results:

The wrong element gets clicked. (This does not always happen but it happens often enough that becomes incredibly annoying. I would say it happens once every 3-5 mins and sometimes takes a minute or two for the cursor to work properly. Two examples that happen many times a day would be clicking on a search result and another result opens or clicking a youtube video and have another one show up.)

Expected results:

The correct element right under the cursor should be clicked

The same happens in a private window where no add-on is set to be enabled.

Hi,

Unfortunately I'm not able to reproduce this issue using Windows 10 on Firefox NIghtly 78.0a1 (2020-05-19) (32-bit) - 76.0 (64-bit). Anyway I'm setting component to Core - General for someone to take a look at this.

Meanwhile @nicexe@gmail.com could you please try to reproduce this on our latest Nightly build? You can download it from here http://nightly.mozilla.org/

Thanks.

Hello,

Do you have add-ons installed? Is it possible that the accessibility support is enabled? Copying the information from about:support might answer this question.

The issue doesn't seem to exist in the latest nightly though I'm not sure if this issue is caused by FireFox, some addon/plugin or by an outside factor (some other process unrelated to firefox for example).

Hello,

This also happens in a private window where I have no addons set to be enabled. I'm not at home right now so I'll check the info from about:support later.

As seen here: https://i.imgur.com/EMqQS45.png accessibility support seems to be enabled. How can I toggle this setting?

You can disable Accessibility in about:preferences#privacy

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/accessibility-services#w_how-do-i-disable-firefox-accessibility-service

Can you give it a shot and see if that helps?

In the past month, I formatted my drive and installed windows 10 from scratch (for an unrelated reason) and I restored my Firefox profile. I do not face this issue anymore but I don't remember if it stopped before formatting and installing windows.
