People

(Reporter: mital.vaja, Unassigned)

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:76.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/76.0

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open sound settings from the control panel (control.exe mmsys.cpl sounds)
  2. Disable all playback devices
  3. Open Firefox
  4. Enable a playback device or plug one in

Actual results:

Firefox doesn't start outputting sound. It doesn't appear in the volume mixer (SndVol.exe) at all, and you have to restart firefox to get sound output.

Expected results:

Firefox recognises that a playback device is available and starts playing audio through it
