Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.15; rv:76.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/76.0

Steps to reproduce:

I would like to request the ability to enable or disable addons per-device. This might be something similar to VS Code's ability to have extensions installed, and then either disable the extension for the application or for that specific workspace.

This might be similar to https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1215415
I was directed here from a reddit post: https://www.reddit.com/r/firefox/comments/gpf50i/firefox_perdevice_extension_disable/

Actual results:

My use case is that I use Firefox on both my work computer and my home computer. I would like to retain the ability to sync my addons across devices, as well as extension storage sync. However, there are some addons that I only use on my work computer. However, if I disable them on my home computer, they also disable on my work computer.

Expected results:

It would be nice if we could choose what type of disable to do on an addon, and that state to be synced as appropriate. I would like to disable an addon, but only apply to this local profile, and not my profile elsewhere on different devices.

Bugbug thinks this bug should belong to this component, but please revert this change in case of error.
