Details
Note
- When the user is engaged in an audio/video conference, he shares an entire screen and switches to a different browser window, a warning should be displayed just like the one displayed when switching tabs.
Affected versions
- nightly v78.0a1
- beta v77.0b9
Affected platforms
- All
Steps to reproduce
- The user engages in an audio/video conference.
- Open a few random tabs in this window.
- Open a different window with a few random tabs.
- Shares an entire screen.
- Switches to another tab.
Observe: The tab is focused; the tab-switch-warning is not displayed (as designed). - Click on yet another previously opened tab.
Observe: The tab-switch-warning is displayed. - Focus the other browser window.
Expected result
- A warning should be displayed.
Actual result
- The other browser window is instantly focused and shown to the other call participants.
Regression range
- This is a feature design issue. It feels like this feature is missing for the feature to be complete.
- It is also reproducing on alder versions as the tab-switch-warning is a new implementation.
- This is reproduced with any webrtc web-app.
