Details
I set up my company mail account in TB 77.0b3 using IMAP and SMTP.
IMAP worked fine out of the box (without any warning). But when I tried to send a test mail, I got the message that the certificate is invalid, with no way to accept an exception.
I then exported root certificates from the Windows OS cert store, copied them to my Linux VM and imported them into Thunderbird. Then the problem was gone.
Expected: There should be a way to inspect the certificate, and also a way to accept an exception.
And I also wonder why IMAP (using STARTTLS) did not cause a warning ...
