The Picture-in-Picture window focuses itself upon opening. mstriemer brought up a good point on Matrix - it might be worth thinking about redirecting keyboard inputs that aren't handled by the player window to the originating window (and perhaps to focus that window), since it's most likely that the user is trying to communicate with that window.
I haven't put much thought into this, but just jotting it down so I don't forget it.
