Details

During development starting the services will result in some exceptions:

MissingPushException('No push found in autoland for revision 3de491b80e70d7f880caed68853d74d4d9d144d3 for task WFUH85pnS7uR4QmNFVqtOw')

these will eventually die down as the database is filled, but new developers (including me) find the message concerning; wondering if the setup is correct

When in development mode, please add some extra description to this exception: Make it a "warning" - indicating that mitigation is in place. Or add actual words that this error will disappear after some time.
