At the log-in page, https://www.smcorp.com:443/weborder/welcome_lookup.asp once
the user name and password is put in, the browser logs in just fine, but then
while in the site, it is a secure site, no matter what link is clicked on to
navigate within the site, it comes back to the original log-in page, and from
that point on just goes only between the two pages, log-in and the page after
it, then the log-in page and the page after it. Goes no further.
I have logged into other sites with no problems what so ever, so it may be just
confined to this site and the software that they are using. On a side note, I
have this same browser installed on my Windows O/S also, and the result is the
same there, too. So it is not O/S confined, for it happens on both Linux and
Windows, with this one web-site.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Went to web-site
2.Logged in at said web-site
3.Tried to navigate said web-site
Actual Results:
Always came back to the original log-in page
Expected Results:
Gone to another page with-in the web-site
I think you need to talk with the people at SMC(Specialty Merchandise
Corporation). This is their ordering number, but maybe from them you may get
the other corporate numbers. 1-800-345-4SMC Let them know that you need to
talk with thier webmaster and sys-op to see why there is this bug with the
browser only on their site. I figure that if they are using software that is
causing this, then there may be others that do as well, or may soon there will
be others.

I don't know what this is, but it certainly isn't form manager.
over to browser-general.

Is it possibly a cookie problem? It sounds like the a log-in cookie may not be
getting set until the first page is done loading, or late in the process. That
would explain why the first page loads fine, but following pages don't.
