I wanted to know which of several accounts with the same display name I was using as the From: address. Tried adding (me@account.com) to the end of the proper name, such as crash (crash@lefteye.com) for the value of the Your Name field under menus Edit/MailNewsgroupPrefs, and not only did this not get updated in the display dropdown under compose new message window, but my account preferences aren't even saved. This prevents me from using NS mail for managing my multiple mail accounts. :(
Reporter: Mozilla version and build ID? Steps to reproduce? The BugZilla database is used for reporting bugs, not for requesting user support. skydaemon80@yahoo.com: This is strike number 2 (maximum strike limit is 0). Here's what the user did: 1. file>new>message 2. try to figure out which account the from field meant 3. edit>mail account settings 4. change the description of an account 5. note that the change does not affect the already open window.
