(I copied the request from https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1291388)
esr 68.9.0 Since May 26, synchronization of cloud tabs and extensions has stopped in Crimea region.
It was determined that synchronization works fine through vpn, which means that the problem is in sanctions. I think mozilla sync using some hosting that, following sanctions, bans Crimean ip-addresses.
But there is a very important point about sanctions, they apply only to the services from which you can make a profit. For example, google search engine works, but AdSense is not.
So maybe open-source browser can be able to configure the synchronization service, which does not receive profit, to work normally with users from the Crimea?

:Krzysztof please attach the relevant sync logs so we can dig into this a little. See this support document..
I'll try to pass it on. As I said, this isn't mine request, I just created a bug based on a SUMO thread.

To add a bit of context: Bug 1650727 is marked as "employee confidential" because it contains a sync error log provided by a user, which may contain personally-identifying or otherwise sensitive information. They are failing to sync for reasons that look very similar to the ones reported here (403s from the storage server) as I added this bug as "see also". But I don't think there's anything useful in Bug 1650727 that would help other folks who are hitting this issue.
