Note

  • When multiple different systems join a bluejeans.com meeting room, an inconsistency with the participants seen as attending in the room will be observed between the call participants; some participants may be hidden to others while some don't see any other participants.

Affected versions

  • 79.0a1 (2020-06-15)

Affected platforms

  • It appears to be somewhat related to the system, not the platform/OS

Steps to reproduce

  1. Engage in a bluejeans.com meeting room between a few different systems.
  2. Share the microphone and camera between them.

Expected result

  • All the call participants can see/hear each other.

Actual result

  • Observe that not all participants get connected to each other.

Additional notes

  • This issue seems to be related to the way Firefox Nightly sends streaming information not the way it is received or displayed.
  • It should be mentioned that it is not a platform-dependent issue, as there were discrepancies between the results, but the connectivity does appear to be somewhat consistent between certain systems.
  • This behaviour is not seen in Google Chrome browser.
  • This may be an issue of the web-app, but the issue is also logged for future test results and tracking purposes.

Bluejeans is not allowing Firefox browsers to join right now. Trying to determine why.

It looks like bluejeans is using the old, non-standard Plan-B semantics. This has not been supported by Firefox for years. Moving this to webcompat.

I can't reproduce the issue on my side. I can see and hear the people from the meeting.

Hello! Indeed this issue doesn't occur anymore on my side to. I have tested this issue on Ubuntu 20 and macOS 10.15 with firefox 85.0 and 87.0a1(2021-01-28) and I could hear and see every participant.
Will mark this issue as verified fixed worksforme if the issue will appear again please feel free to reopen this one or file another bug.
