Doesn't remember that you want to always launch a file type.

MIME, File association problem. If you click on a binary file with no existing file association for that type, you are prompted for what to do with this kind of file: launch or save. If you choose launch, select an application, and uncheck the box that says, "Always ask before opening this type of file" you would expect that type of file to always open whenever you click on it in the future. This doesn't work. It remembers your choice as "always save" and a new pref shows up like: user_pref("browser.helperApps.neverAsk.saveToDisk", "application%2Fx-dvi"); Also, there's no way to change this from the UI. Once you choose, that's it. Also, you'd expect for this file type to show up under "helper apps" in the preferences, but it doesn't.

WFM Win2k 0826 Choosing an application and unchecking "Always ask" box created a user pref with choice "open file". Future invocations of Mozilla opened file without prompting. Using Reset in prefs UI cleared choice. Future invocations of Mozilla prompted when downloading file.

I've seen this on several different windows machines now. This seems like a very fundamental feature that is broken.
