summary sez it all: chimera has the ability to import bookmarks, why not add the ability to export 'em as well?
since chimera uses xml, and the standard seems to be html at the moment, this feature would be most welcome.

Basic bookmarks export code checked in. Note that IE doesn't like the exported file, because it has Unix linebreaks, so I'll have to add a 'format' popup. Keeping the bug open for that.

The issue with IE importing seems to be related to the type/creator of the file, rather than its linebreaks.

The exported file is given a TEXT file type now, so that IE imports it correctly. The only remaining issue is the encoding of entities in the exported HTML; having <>in there now is bad. I filed bug 180349 on that.

was able to export chimera bookmarks, and then import them into IE5.2.2 and OmniWeb4.1.1. tested on 10.2.2 with 2002.11.19.11.
