Philipp writes in a comment about the CalDavLegacySAXRequest that it was "Used for transitioning because once I started refactoring calDavRequestHandlers.js I was on the verge of refactoring the whole caldav provider. Too risky right now."
This bug is for the next steps to refactor and remove CalDavLegacySAXRequest. A follow-up on bug 1546606.
