This is clearly not a full UX proposal, just adding a screenshot to clarify the proposal.
Its looking like the MLS accuracy is reasonably close to GLS however there does seem to be some deviance, one idea I had to help improve accuracy is within the permissions panel shown for the geolocation indicator, we could add a button that lets the user report an issue with their location.
The button could submit the data automatically (or it could ask for more information, we could ask the user to pinpoint their actual location on a map), depending on what the MLS team would find most useful.
Most users dont even look at the permissions panel, but it gives an opt in mechanism to point users towards when they report problems.

I like the idea of giving users a way to tell us their location is incorrect. Anecdotally, I've heard from several at Mozilla that their location is wrong in several desktop browsers. We may get interesting info from just someone saying "my location is wrong", and more data to justify developing the UI for reporting the location.
If a user selected their true location on a map, MLS has a mechanism for submitting data to improve the algorithm, posting similar data to the original geolocate request. This would also help users without an Android device to submit corrections.

We may also want to tell them that a VPN could cause them to have a different location than their real-world location. MLS could guess if the client was on a VPN. We went over many of the details in bug 1612880, which is not moving forward at this time.
