Tracker Cookie Purging
This rollout introduces a new protection against cookie-based tracking, known as tracker cookie purging. Firefox periodically clears cookies from sites on the tracking protection list.
Experimenter is the source of truth for details and delivery. Changes to Bugzilla are not reflected in Experimenter and will not change delivery configuration.

Staged Rollout: Tracker Cookie Purging
Firefox Release 79 to 82
We have finished testing the PI-729 Cookie Purging Rollout QA Request. Testing was done on Firefox 79 Beta channel as the cookie purging is not enabled on the release channel.
Quality status: GREEN - SHIP IT
Why is this rollout green?
- We haven’t found any issues during testing.
Testing Summary:
- Test report: TestRail
- Telemetry histograms mentioned in the Analysis section of the Experimenter ticket.
Tested Platforms:
- Windows 10 x64
- Ubuntu 16.04 x64
- Mac OS X 10.15
Tested Firefox versions:
- Firefox 79 RC (20200720193547) - en-US
- Firefox 79.0b9 (for the browser update scenario)
