Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:79.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/79.0

Steps to reproduce:

I just saw that Chrome is planning to use BackForwardCache for the "reopen close tab" function, Firefox should do this too, especially because BFCache is already implemented in Firefox. This will make the "Undo Close Tab" feature even better. Here is the document for Chrome https://docs.google.com/document/d/1SF230MYWgroe4WikDMn82ETd3-HFRzylKtIk0HZRaOU/edit#

(Apologies if this is a duplicate or has already been ruled out)

Oops I forgot to add, this should happen in Fenix too if possible.

Hi Will!

Thanks for your contribution! I'll add product and component so devs can take a look and do some research.

Regards!

hrm, thanks for the suggestion but I'm not seeing how this is relevant. BackForwardCache looks to be around browser navigation and that's not how we retrieve previously closed tabs.
