The same happens with me on build 20020925 Win2K.
Especially in the games download section.

I have seen this behavior and have a possible explanation. It seems that
download.com now requires registration to access their software library. Try
enabling "Open unrequested windows" under Preferences/Advanced/Scripts &
Plugins. Now instead of seeing a page reload when a download link is clicked, I
see a "Please register with download.com" window appear.

I am unable to download anything since I installed Mozilla 1.21. It was never
a problem for me when I was using version 1.1, but now I've uninstalled version
1.2 and re-installed 1.1 and now that version doesn't work with download.com either.
I delete my 'hosts' file, disabled the 'url filer' on the router and I tried
Steve's suggestion with the 'unrequested windows' but it didn't help.
Copying the link to Internet Explorer works every time.
Look for any file on download.com
(http://download.com.com/3000-2097-871531.html?tag=lst-0-1) and click on
'download now'. After a few seconds, an alert window pops up: Unable to connect
to download.com.com:8000
BTW: I'm using Windows XP with servicepack 1

The first line should read: 'I am unable to download anything from download.com '
(Sorry, it's my first visit here and I don't know if it's possible to edit
something)

Is anyone still seeing this with a recent Mozilla version?
The site is working for me, Moz 1.3b on WinXP. There are a number of
duplicates, such as bug 145770, that have been closed as WFM, but none recently.
So I think either the site got fixed, or a bug in Mozilla was fixed a while ago.
WFM Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.3) Gecko/20030309 on Win98SE.
I've not seen this problem.
