User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:79.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/79.0
Steps to reproduce:
Type "github package" in the omnibar. Search is activated.
Go to Search preferences. There is no search with the keyword or URL from GitHub.
Go to Addon preferences. There is no addon providing a GitHub search engine.
Actual results:
A search engine gets activated under the keyword "github", and when searching it takes me to a blank page since the search engine is misconfigured.
Expected results:
It should be possible to remove the custom search engine.

Bugbug thinks this bug should belong to this component, but please revert this change in case of error.

The little star icon indicates that you have a bookmark with this keyword. You can find it in the "show all bookmarks" (library) window (ctrl-shift-o on Linux, IIRC) and you can update it there. If you have a lot of bookmarks, you can probably find it by searching for the URL that you can see the keyword bookmark is using.
Marco, are there plans on integrating keyword bookmarks better with search in the address bar or doing something else to make this stuff more intuitive for users when they see puzzling address bar behaviour?

Yes, keywords will be merged with search aliases, Dale is looking into that already, see bug 1650874.
