User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:68.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/68.0
Steps to reproduce:
TB 78.1.1
Klick "compose mail"
Want to send a encrypted mail, which is critical to be encrypted (secure).
Compose mail
Open the "S/MIME" menu end enable "encrypt only" and "sign"
Actual results:
The compose window has no indication of the selected security setting of the to be sent mail. The user klicks again the "S/MIME" menu to double check that "encryption+sign" is still enabled and was not maybe somehow silently "lost".
The user fears that the encryption setting is lost when sending, and security critical mail would be sent unencrypted. Feeling of uncertanty.
Expected results:
The selected encryption settings should be shown in the mail compose window.
E.g. if no security option (like encryption) is selected, then the compose window can be like it is now.
For each item enabled in the security setting (e.g. encryption, signing), after leaving the encryption ("S/MIME") menu, there should show up an icon in the compose window, so the user can rest assured the selected security settings where really recognized by TB and are active, before clicking on "send mail".
I see there are many other open bugs regarding this that aim a much bigger solution, so I don't know, maybe this one can be closed as duplicate.
