I often copy 'mailto:' links and paste them into a message composition 'To' field... and have to go all the way back to the beginning of the line and delete the 'mailto:' before the address. I think MailNews should ignore the 'mailto:' and send to the address following it. 'mailto:' should also be ignored for purposes of address completion with the drop-down list.
