Steps To Reproduce
(see attached video)
- Open a web page.
- Open the new print UI.
- Select "Save to PDF" as a printer.
- Click "Print using system dialog..."
Actual Behavior
- A prompt to save a PDF opens.
- If you click cancel, the native dialog will not open.
- If you click save, then an empty PDF will be saved and the native dialog will open.
Note:
Once you've saved the empty PDF and successfully opened the native dialog, you can close the native dialog and re-open it as expected.
However, switching to a different printer, and then back to "Save as PDF" will force you to save an empty PDF again, before opening the native dialog.
Expected Behavior
- The native dialog opens with no other effects.
Misc.
I verified via mozregression that this behavior has existed since the "Save as PDF" option was first made available.
