When a thumbnail is tapped, a window should pop-up with the enlarged image (this window target is used for subsequent images as well if it is left open). This works fine in Android Chrome and on desktop Firefox, and worked fine on the older Firefox Android, but on the new release has regressed where only every other tap displays the image (otherwise it shows about:blank in the new tab instead).

This is working for me in Firefox Nightly 200831 06:01 GeckoView 82.0a1
so either this is a local issue with settings, or it has been fixed
