User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:82.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/82.0
Steps to reproduce:
- enabled gfx.webrender.software and gfx.webrender.all
- scrolled through my facebook news feed

Profile with "Webrender (Software)": https://share.firefox.dev/2EKrkQW
Profile with "Basic": https://share.firefox.dev/2DejtuD
Expected results:
scrolling should be at least as smooth as the old "Basic" software rendering implementation.

Is performance still an issue here with latest nightly?

Most of the systematic overheads here have been addressed by bugs like 1682194. This is pretty fast now.

Just tested facebook on another machine (dual-core athlon x2 240) and although webrender sofware still feels slower / jerky than "basic" software rendering it is far more useable, also for the case described in this bug report (scrolling in facebook).
