Details
Many specialized functions of importexport ools could be best implemented in core by allowing filter actions to save the message to file system.
This action could be very useful to replace functionality around archiving that some add-ons has provided in the past, also for corporate needs.
For bonus points, actually allowing piping the message (on *nix) and continuing the processing from there, would cater for other specialized needs.

I would be very happy to have a way - even if it is manual - to create the filter settings on one email account, export them and import them on another account. I could also see this working well in a company, e.g. to provide filters for employees.
In addition, I could then finally synchronise them via a Nextcloud.
