Matt Woodrow added the layers.advanced.fission.enabled pref in bug 1588484 to disable Advanced Layers when using Fission.

Matt says in bug 1588484#c12:

We've tried to disable Advanced Layers in the past and ran into correctness issues with D3D11 layers. We would need to fix those, or bug 1588484 before we could ship Fission to release without WebRender.

Severity: -- → S3

Moving to M-Future so we can review this later. If SW-WR is ready in time for Fission, we won't need to worry about non-QR WR bugs.

Fission Milestone: ? → Future

Advanced layers is disabled by default, and we do not plan to use it in the future.
