Steps to reproduce:
Thunderbird 78.2.2 providing incorrect error on smtp transmission, unable to send and receive emails after upgrading Thunderbird.
removing or disabling Avast Antivirus resolves issue.
Avast version 20.7.2425 (build 20.7.5568.597) (latest build) running on windows 10.
previous thunderbird version did not have this issue.
Actual results:
sending of message failed
peers certificate issue is not recognised
Expected results:
email should transmit as normal and be received as normal.
