Recently I needed to print shipping labels direct through Firefox. The 1st time was trying to print prepaid postage labels from the Royal Mail website, the 2nd time was trying to print return labels through Ebay. Both times printing failed - I would get my printer screen up but I would not be able to print. If I used Chrome based browser then I could print normally. This makes me think that there may be a problem with my Firefox settings.
Can anyone help please?

Unfortunately I have not kept copies of shipping labels.

Okay, thanks for letting us know (and for reporting the issue on SUMO).

Would you be willing to provide more information about your system? It may help us diagnose the issue if you could share:

  1. Your operating system and version.
  2. The brand and model of printer you are attempting to print with.

Also, do recall if you were presented with an error message or dialog when printing?

Windows 10 Pro 2004 build 19041.508
Canon MX895 printer connected using USB cable.

No error messages, just would not print.

I wonder if our fallback mechanism in bug 1640197 will fix most of these issues too...

Hi Mac,
Now that most of the printing issues are landed, can you please check again (using latest Firefox version) if this issue still occurs?
Thank you!

Hi,
I would have to wait until I need to print a new label to be 100% sure but I have tried opening a downloaded label using Firefox and it has printed fine.

Thank you for replying! I'm glad it worked fine the last time you tried.
In this case, I will close this issue as WorksForMe, but please feel free to re-open if that's not the case the next time you need to print a new label.
Thank you!
