When you load the attached testcase first time the focus and blur methods do not do anything, but when the page is reloaded with reload button everything works fine. The events should document.write "focus" and then "blur" after the button.

actually the testcase attached is not failing, it only fails in the url. Very strange, it is the same exact code.

I found a similiar problem, focusing frame windows on loading: focusing does not work. You will find a testcase at http://www.soziologie.uni-halle.de/bugzilla.testcase2/.

seems to still be the case with build id 2003082402

Is the URL still extant?
Is the problem with onblur() related to this (see the testcase in attachment)? When tabbing outside a field, the first time onblur does work. If you continue to tab again and again, it doesn't work any more. If you reload, it works again the first only.
Worth looking into for 0.9 I guess. Marking as blocker for now.

I think my patch in bug 182783 fixed this.

The OnBlur() testcase doesn't work yet with build 2005062708 (0.9a1+). It seems not to be related to this bug (see comment 7). Should I open another bug?
