Steps to reproduce:

PROBLEM:
I made an appointment on a web site;
the acknowledgement web page said:
'Add to Calendar' [LINK] which I clicked;
this gave me an 'Appointment.ics' file
which I saved & double-clicked to open;
neither THUNDERBIRD nor LIGHTNING
was offered as a matching application.

Actual results:

see above.

Expected results:

QUESTION / REQUEST:
Please allow Thunderbird / Lightning
to open .ics files and add appointments
to my calendar.
