Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.1) Gecko/20020826
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.1) Gecko/20020826
I've tried downloading & installing the nightly Windows builds from 9/2 and 9/4
and in each instance, after the installation supposedly completed, Mozilla would
fail to run. Reinstalling the earlier 8/26 release corrects matters, though. The
symptoms are that I would get a text message information window about cookies
and then a small button-like window in the top left corner of the desktop with
the word "Alert" in it and only the option to close it. The Cookies message only
appears after the initial installation, but the little Alert window is all I get
when I try to run Mozill from that point on.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Download a September Windows Sea nightly binary
2.Install
3.Try to run
Actual Results:
Small "Alert" window on upper left corner of desktop
Expected Results:
Regular full Mozilla screen
Reinstalling Mozilla build 20020826 fixes matters
this only disappers if you do not only uninstall mozilla but also delete the
C:\Windows\Aplication Data\Mozilla folder. Backup your bookmarks before! all
installed skins and add-ons, all mail and all Preferences will get lost!
