  • S2 as suggested severity since it's with somewhat of an impact on the product; can be interpreted as offensive by some;

I don't understand the urgency or severity - there's 1 extra period in the string?

Flags: needinfo?(markh) → needinfo?(cristian.fogel)

Symbol-wise it adds up to a something "offensive".

Had the same debate with a few people and "minds were blown" when they realized this as well.
It's not something wrong or broken, just that the string might be better off with a different phrasing.

Indeed, the needinfo might not have been needed as it's out there for 2 months now.
The severity is set as high, since UX-wise it's something that as a product; it might be better off avoided.

Sorry, but I have no idea what you are referring to. At https://searchfox.org/mozilla-central/source/browser/locales/en-US/browser/sync.ftl#17, we have:

Delete data from this device (logins, passwords, history, bookmarks, etc.).

What exactly should that be?

Flags: needinfo?(cristian.fogel)

With internet and trolling, that combination can look like male genitalia .).

Formatting such as in any of the strings bellow would mitigate it:

  • Delete data from this device (logins, passwords, history, bookmarks, etc.)
  • Delete data from this device: logins, passwords, history, bookmarks, etc..
  • Delete data from this device such as logins, passwords, history, bookmarks.

Thinking about it some more, indeed severity suggestion is to high so, S4 is a more appropriate severity for this.
Since it's nowhere near a crash or blocker.

One a second thought, I think this might have been blown out of proportion, since it's an interpretation of a few strings out of the context of the whole sentence that we're showing there.
Please ignore this bug, I'll go ahead and mark it invalid.
