Would it be possible to a) have the option to always have tabs shown and b) Have the option of tabs down the left or right hand side instead of the top? Generally, I love tabs but it's is a little annoying the way that they appear and disappear as you move from 1 to 2 tabs. Moving the tabs to the left or right also frees up more space vertically (which is always in greater demand than horizintally).
