This has been happening for a few days on Nightly (macOS, 20201005093214).
I click on a thread link in a channel, the sidebar is displayed but it's completely empty (no logo with the loading… indication, and no text). Refreshing the page doesn't help, I need to hard refresh the page with cmd+shift+R and it will work normally for a while.

Just restarted, Slack is a pinned tab.
Noticed another detail that I didn't connect before: the sidebar is messed up, with the huge title. Threads are broken again.

There are no errors displayed in Console.
I also tried one other thing:
- Deregistered the service worker in about:serviceworkers
- Reloaded the Slack tab (no hard-refresh, a simple one)
The sidebar looks normal and threads work again.

Hi Francesco, is this still happening? I am also a bit puzzled about the Service Workers attribution, but first let's clarify if it is still an issue.

The interesting thing is that it's been happening for over a month, but I was keeping an eye on it because it started working in the last couple of days. To confirm, I just restarted after the last update, and the page is fully functional.
I'll keep an eye on it, in case I'll close the bug as WORKSFORME before the end of the week.

Nope, it worked for a couple of reboots, but this morning it happened again (20201113015110).
Just to confirm:
- Slack loads broken. Reloading the page doesn't fix it.
- Going in about:serviceworkers, deregistering Slack's service worker and reloading the page, fixes the problem.

Another update, same error after restart. This is what shows up searching for slack in the console after the reboot.
It mostly looks like log, plus a CORS error that I see even when the website works normally.

Looks like it's been working consistently now, marking as WORKSFORME.
