Found by :Sylvestre. This paragraph in the docs[1] doesn't reflect the way we kick releases off. Instead, we just rely on shipit[2]. The build/tools repo was even retired in bug 1492541.

Hey :sheehan!

Would you know if there's a way to archive a repo on hg.m.o? https://hg.mozilla.org/build/tools/ doesn't look active anymore, so I wonder if we can flag it as deprecated. This way, people going to that link or clone/pulling that repo will know that it's not used anymore. What do you think?

Right now we don't have a way of "archiving" a repo, aside from just deleting it. I assume that isn't really what you want, since it would break links in bugs, emails etc. It would be trivial to add some code to hgmo such that a clone/pull/push will fail with a message pointing to the new canonical repo, if you think that would be useful. :)

Good to know! I would prefer if we had a way to redirect old links to the new place. I don't think we can let hg.m.o point to archive.softwareheritage.org. I think the best option is to keep build/tools the way it is now.
