User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:81.0) Gecko/20100101 null Firefox/81.0
Steps to reproduce:
On a website, searching for an item (recipe), on that website's search box, after entering the seach, FireFox just goes to sleep, and does not respond.
Firefox ver 81.0.1 64-bit, says it is up to date.
Actual results:
The search stringshows in the URL window, but nothing happens.
Expected results:
FireFox should return a search result. I take the same search on a different browser, and it executes normally, that is returns a page of search results.

Posted earlier message about this. Was advised to turn off: Option, Performance, Use Hardware accelerator. Tried that, but the problem is still occurring.

Here is an additional example where after providing log in credentials on this site (https://www.177milkstreet.com/) FireFox just returns me to the home page, and doesn't execute the login.
Same action in Edge logs me in to the site.

Second example of Firefox not executing inside a website. MS Edge returned the appropriate page of information.

Hi Tom,
I don't have any issues on my side but there is definitely something going on on your side.
Can you please use Safe Mode (this disables all addons) and see if the issue is still reproducible? Here is how to do that: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-extensions-themes-to-fix-problems

Started in FireFox in safe mode, which seemed to solve the problem. Went back and added extensions and tested. When AVG AntiTrack was disabled, both the Milkstreet and Americas Test Kitchen sites operated normally.

Hello Tom,
I’ve attempted to reproduce the issue you are having on the latest Nightly (84.0a1/20201104214352), Beta (83.0b8/20201103183834) and Release (82.0.2/20201027185343) under Windows 10 Pro 64-bit and Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, with AVG AntiTrack installed and enabled (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/avg-antitrack/), however without success.
I have accessed both mentioned websites and used the website search field to search for a recipe as in your case. The search string is passed to the URL and search results are correctly displayed. No issues on my side.

Moving to Web Compatibility as this would seem most appropriate in the initial instance - not related to the search system within Firefox.

I can't reproduce the issue on my side either, search results are returned correctly.
For both sites, a paid account and subscription is required so I'm unable to test if the "Login" works or if I can access the "Favorites" section.
Tested with:
Browser / Version: Firefox Nightly 91.0a1 (2021-07-11)
Operating System: Windows 10 Pro
Tom George does the issue still occurs on your side?
