Steps to reproduce:

  1. In System Preferences > General, enable "Use LCD font smoothing when available"
  2. Open Nightly
  3. Open a new tab so that there are two about:newtab tabs.
  4. Observe first tab title is now bold.
  5. Quit Nightly
  6. In System Preferences > General, disable "Use LCD font smoothing when available"
  7. Repeat 2-3, and observe text is not bold.

Tab titles rendered as bold text.

Expected results:

Tab titles rendered without bold text.

This seems to only happen with WebRender enabled.
