Steps to reproduce:

I am trying to configure email in Bugzilla version 5.0.6 (git branch 5.2), but when putting in the details, it gives me an error message for the SMTP server

Actual results:

Upon submitting the details using Yandex' SMTP server, it gives me the error message "The new value for smtpserver is invalid: Cannot connect to smtp.yandex.ru."
I have tried this with both smtp.yandex.ru and smtp.yandex.com.
I have configured Thunderbird with the same details, and it works fine, so I know it's not the wrong server, in fact I also tried submitting the SMTP server by copying the working server address from Thunderbird.

Expected results:

What should have happened is that Bugzilla should successfully connect to the server, but it cannot connect.

Please provide your settings (except for username and password) on editparams.cgi?section=mta

When 78.5.0 updated on few computers can't connect to SMTP server. Previous version 78.4.3 is good on other computers.

@macinorgo: Please report unrelated issues somewhere else. This ticket is about the Bugzilla software, not configuration issues in Thunderbird. Thanks.
