The following Firefox probes will expire in the next major Firefox nightly release: version 85 [1].
browser.searchinit.engines_cache_corrupted
What to do about this:
- If one, some, or all of the metrics are no longer needed, please remove them from their definitions files (Histograms.json, Scalars.yaml, Events.yaml).
- If one, some, or all of the metrics are still required, please submit a Data Collection Review [2] and patch to extend their expiry. There is a shorter form for data collection renewal [3].

We have decided we no longer need this probe. It has been useful in checking the stability of the settings, however most 'corruptions' appear to have been as a result of mismatch of checking what is saved vs what is expected. It was also useful to monitor for changes during the modern search configuration roll-out (where things generally improved). Now we also have a different way of managing the search settings, so the original issue that we were hitting can no longer be hit.
