User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:82.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/82.0
Steps to reproduce:
I just updated Firefox on Ubuntu to v82.
Actual results:
The title bar doesn't appear to be correct: the leftmost tab (whether pinned or not) seems to have the wrong calculated height and left margin, and the close button appears to be clipped on the left and overly padded on the right.

Which Ubuntu do you run? I don't see that with yaru-metatheme-19.04.

Ubuntu 18.04.5 LTS, Ambiance theme, Ubuntu-mono-dark icons, and the only relevant Ubuntu extensions are Arc menu and Dash-to-panel -- I don't have the system bar at the top of the screen. But interestingly, I get the wrong corner appearance even when my window isn't maximized, so I don't think it's necessarily related to those Ubuntu extensions.

Another view of the alignment/margins problem, when the menubar is visible: the close/min/max buttons are offset too far, and are clipped on both left and right. (Same system, theme, installation, etc as prior screenshot)

One more update, if it helps: Firefox updated to v83 and changed the preferences such that the tab bar no longer overlaps the title bar. In that configuration, the close/min/max buttons look perfectly fine, with the correct margins and spacing. If I customize the toolbar such that I turn off the Title bar preference (and restore the tabs to being in the title bar area), I get back the two screenshots above.

Just checking if anyone else can confirm this issue? It's still present for me as of Firefox 85.0.1.

And it's still present in Fx 89, with and without the new Proton UI...

Doesn't look like it. If you can isolate what customization caused it, we might have some clue what's going on.

Unfortunately the machine where that happened died a hardware-failure death, and my replacement machine has a newer version of Ubuntu with a different theme, and it's no longer reproducible on my current machine.

Okay, I guess that's good news then!
