Open Bug 1673185 Opened 5 years ago Updated 1 year ago

The new window styling has almost no indication of which window has the current focus. If I have multiple windows open, it is incredibly hard to determine which window is receiving hotkey input

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:82.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/82.0

Steps to reproduce:

Alt+tab between open applications.

Actual results:

The windows barely offer any visual feedback (such as toolbar color changing) to indicate which window has current focus. The only change is a slight darkening of the incredibly narrow scrollbar on the side.

Expected results:

The browser window's toolbar should darken or brighten to indicate focus.

As as software developer who routinely opens multiple application windows at a time, it is essential that I be able to determine which window currently has focus so I can type commands.

Can you check if you have system titlebar enabled or disabled?

Thank you; I didn't realize this was a configuration option. It seems that updating Firefox caused this config option to change to hide the titlebar.

The dev team may wish to consider showing the system titlebar by default.
