While I was looking into the test failures from bug 1671983, I noticed the reason that browser_async_remove_tab.js wasn't working with Fission enabled.
This patch fixes that issue, and re-enables the test with Fission.
Given the number of intermittent failures around this bug (e.g. bug 1254852), I unfortunately won't be surprised if this starts intermittently failing again, in which case we may need to re-disable it.
