already before the new .app installation there was a bit chaos between esr, beta, normal. now is even worse, since it's all identical and you keep to name it firefox. so i always need to rename it.
PS: if last time there was no need to rename beta... plus the fact that i told it as beta, but seems you install it as normal. have you add the wrong .app to the beta download button?

i downloaded beta 4x and same problem... if i launch it, seems to be firefox normal too
if i check library files, same.... there is no .beta inside...

goal: you need correct the download button problem and make better difference between different. app using other icons.
Hi! Thanks for the suggestion. I agree that this is confusing, but in this case there is a reason. See, in particular, https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1600337#c13. I'm going to duplicate this to https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1600337, which has all of the context.
I personally would like to see this improve but it's not likely to happen any time soon, for the above reason. The proportion of Firefox users who have multiple versions installed is very, very low, and those users tend to be technically savvy enough to work around the inconvenience. Sorry!

they fixed the problem, because now you download the real beta and not a firefox version. there is still a problem, that i will write in another bug

another point from what i posted to you is not firefox beta design, because this was different already before i installed new version, but about ESR. in the image you can exactly see the change of the design. is esr that need a different design.
for firefox beta there was the download problem, which now is fixed. obviously i told you to add different designs too, but this was a subtopic.

PS: about renaming yes i referred to firefox beta, because i always needed to rename firefox esr before; but is not a big problem. now the problem is more about design of esr and library profile chaos
