User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win 9x 4.90; en-US; rv:1.1) Gecko/20020826
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win 9x 4.90; en-US; rv:1.1) Gecko/20020826
When a file is downloading, if you attempt to click the link again to download
the same file, mozilla goes "busy" until the first download has completed. (or
is cancelled)
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Click on
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla/releases/mozilla1.1/mozilla-win32-1.1-installer.exe
2.Close download manager (optional)
3.Before it has completed, click the link to download it again
Actual Results:
Mozilla stays busy until the first download has completed.
(throbber is animated, hourglass cursor)
Expected Results:
1) The Download Manager should:
- Open if it's currently closed
- Go to the foreground
2) Mozilla should then go to the non-busy state
I came across this bug when I had closed the Download manager. I wanted to
download a file, but mozilla just stayed in the busy state and did nothing.
Only after looking at the modem activitiy lights did I notice that it was
downloading something. Opening the Download Manager myself let me know what was
going on.

I can confirm this bug with
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; de-AT; rv:1.2) Gecko/20021126
and Mozilla 1.1 on Windows 2000
If I download the same file twice, the file status in the downloadmanager
switches between the first and the second download thread all few seconds (i.e.
showing 100k/1000k then 200k/1000k then again 100k/1000k etc)
Selecting the file and clicking on cancel quits only one thread the other one
keeps on downloading, and there is no way stopping it, as the cancel button is
greyed out.

This is a confirmed bug for Mozilla 1.7b. I am running Mozilla on Windows XP
professional. The download size keeps going up and down for both the files until
one of them is completely downloaded.
