RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 968273

People

(Reporter: paulniklasweiss, Unassigned)

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:82.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/82.0

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Load openWRT 17.01.7 's configuration page by entering the ip into the address bar (just the IP, e.g. 192.168.7.3)
  2. The page loads, then redirects to http://<ip_here>/cgi-bin/luci
  3. Install some other Firmware to the router using another PC, that does not use /cgi-bin/luci as landing page
  4. configure it to the same IP
  5. try to access the (now replaced) configuration page again on the first PC

Actual results:

The openWRT redirect-page flashes, then redirects to http://<ip_here>/cgi-bin/luci now displaying Error: Connection interrupted (original German: "Fehler: Verbindung unterbrochen")

Expected results:

It should have checked at some point if the redirect-site changed
It is also is impossible to refresh the page (F5) since you get redirected way to fast.
Clearing the cache fixes the issue.

Hi,

I do not have the technical knowledge to reproduce this on my end. I am setting a component for this in order to get the dev team involved.
(If the team feels it's an incorrect one please feel free to change it to a more appropriate one.)
Best,
Clara
